About this online event
Imagine a world without privacy, where the government possessed a virtually unlimited ability to track its citizens’ movements, and the ability to walk down the street incognito was a quaint relic of the past. This panel, which is co-presented by the UCLA Institute for Technology, Law & Policy and the Asociación por los Derechos Civiles, discusses Argentina’s expansive rollout of facial recognition technologies, and the need for public debate on their social and democratic harms.
