In today’s fast-paced environment, the mobility of employees, executives, customers, partners, suppliers, assets, and products/services is key function that Information Technology needs to provide. But with mobility comes the increasingly critical challenge of security.
UCLA Engineering’s Wireless Internet for Mobile Enterprise Consortium or WINMEC, a UCLA-based university, industry, and government collaboration that seeks to advance technological and business research, will hold its third CIO Impacts Forum in conjunction with the UCLA Anderson School of Management at the University’s Covel Commons on Tuesday, February 7. Chief Information Officers from a variety of Fortune 500 companies will discuss how Mobility and Security issues are impacting today’s business.
The CIO Forum will provide a comprehensive overview of business and technology issues in today’s enterprise functions and how they are impacted by Mobility and Security. Issues to be discussed include the emerging impact of the CIO on the company’s techno-business strategies involving mobility, wireless infrastructure, process simplification, regulations and mandates, digital rights management, security technology and solutions, supply chain/RFID, customer privacy, shifts in security governance, federal and state mandates, and more.
