Sonia Hingorany ’08 is a Senior Manager at Amazon Web Services within the Data Center Planning & Delivery organization. She earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in cognitive science from UCLA in 2008. Before earning her graduate degree, Sonia worked at Accenture for five years as a technology consultant, specializing in systems integration and technical architecture initiatives for various financial services clients. She earned her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015, pursuing concentrations in information systems and operations management.

While Sonia was at UCLA, she served on the SWE board for three years. She was selected to be the Student Speaker at the UCLA Samueli Commencement for the Class of 2008. Since graduating, Sonia has continued to be involved with alumni activities including attending the EAA board meetings and now currently sits on the board as the SWE Advisory Committee Chair and serves as a mentor for SWE, IEEE WATT, and on the UCLA ONE platform.
