Nirav Mehta ’16 is currently the Lead Mission Manager for Apex, an early-stage space startup looking to reduce the time and cost to orbit by mass producing standard spacecraft. Previously, he held roles spanning systems engineering, program management, corporate strategy and supply chain within leading space companies Northrop Grumman, Terran Orbital and Rocket Lab.

Nirav earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from UCLA and was involved on campus as Team Principal of UCLA Racing Baja SAE and as a Resident Assistant within UCLA Residential Life. He currently serves as the board secretary, co-chairs the EAA Student Projects Committee and is part of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering(MAE) Department’s Alumni Advisory Board.
