‘The Future of Engineering’ at May 8 Tech Forum
Bringing together many of the finest engineering minds in industry and academia, on May 8 the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science will host its annual Tech Forum.
This year’s theme is “The Future of Engineering Research in the United States.” Northrop Grumman Information Systems Vice President Neil Siegel will serve as keynote speaker. A panel discussion will include representatives of several engineering and technology firms, leading UCLA Engineering faculty will host nearly 40 breakout sessions on their research, and during lunch and an afternoon wine-and-cheese reception, attendees can view a poster contest in which students describe their on-going work.
Participants in the panel discussion include Conilee Kirkpatrick, vice president of HRL Laboratories; Cary Nachenberg, chief architect of Symantec’s office of the CTO; Muddu Sudhakar, vice president of VMware, Inc.; and Rachel Vendenberg, vice president, intermodal practice, at global engineering and design firm AECOM.
