Civil engineering faculty featured in NSF program

The National Science Foundation’s “Science Nation” program recently featured civil and environmental engineering professors Henry Burton and John Wallace, highlighting their research that uses downtown Los Angeles as a testbed for the design of earthquake-resistant structures and earthquake-resilient communities. Results from the project may help save lives and infrastructure here in Los Angeles, and throughout the world, following major earthquakes.
