Second Nature:
Gender & Sexuality in the Animal World

Join us for a free public screening of Second Nature: Gender & Sexuality in the Animal World, the award-winning documentary narrated by Elliot Page and directed by Drew Denny. The film takes a funny, moving, and scientifically grounded look at gender and sexuality across the animal world, challenging some of our most persistent assumptions about what is, and is not, “natural.”

This will be much more than a screening. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and live performances by Voices United LA and Plead The Fifth. At 7:00 p.m., we’ll screen Second Nature, followed by a live talkback and audience Q&A with director Drew Denny and featured scientists exploring the science, culture, and questions raised by the film. We expect to wrap around 9:00 p.m..
