The goal of the Engineering Pathways for Community College Students initiative is to ensure that transfer students interested in studying engineering at a California State or University of California school will have a full and equal opportunity for participation in the California workforce — just like their counterparts who enrolled as freshmen in the CA university system.
INTERNSHIPS will be provided to students between completion of community college and attending a university.
STATEWIDE BRIDGE PROGRAM will ensure full preparation for the varied courses offered in junior year.
STRENGTHENED INTERSEGMENTAL COLLABORATION Enhance transfer pathways and collaborative initiatives among California Community Colleges, California State Universities, and the University of California to optimize engineering education and workforce development.
SELF-SUSTAINED MODEL will leverage industry/company investment and participation in the internship program with access to top talent.
CREDIT FOR SKILLS completed within certificate programs at community colleges will be incorporated into CSU and/or UC systems.
