The UCLA Engineering Senior Class Campaign honors the transition from student to alumni, by coming together and making an impactful gift to the school, while also making a promise that despite the depletion of state support, UCLA Engineering will be here to educate future engineers for generations to come.
The 2018 Senior Class Committee is raising funds for UCLA Samueli CEED Summer Bridge, a program dedicated to preparing incoming freshman of underrepresented minorities for the rigors of being an engineering student.

A UCLA-led research team has created a new type of aerogel that can better endure extremely hot conditions and big swings in temperature. The new material, based on dynamic nanoscale technology, contracts when compressed or heated, which is the opposite of most materials.
