On Oct. 29, 50 years to the day when the first message on the internet was sent from UCLA computer science professor Leonard Kleinrock’s lab, a packed Royce Hall saw dozens of tech pioneers, business leaders and activists share the stage to examine the history and current state of the internet, and offer ideas on how it can improve.
